This cheetah cub and puppy playing is used by the Cincinnati Zoo to educate others about nonlethal predator control. Aside from the cuteness factor, the explanation is pretty interesting. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VojiiR7xlJw&fmt=18]

I'm going to state the obvious here: That is one small horse!

This penguin swimming to stay ahead of a hungry pack of killer whales is quite an inspiration. Watch until the very end for the payout. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBwqbqZ3L60&fmt=18]

This shark with legs was caught off the waters of Malaysia.
What I want to know is where are the FREAKIN SHARKS with the FREAKIN LASER BEAMS attached to their FREAKIN HEADS? Where are those sharks? That's what I want to know...because they will eventually kill us all. KILL US ALL.

As a follow up to my last recap of my trip to San Francisco, here's a video of their sea lions barking away: [flickr video=http://flickr.com/photos/83466411@N00/2870860895]
French prankster Remi Gaillard, dressed in a full kangaroo costume, bounces around and proceeds to piss off everyone to the tune of go-go-go ska. The one with the golfer is pretty fucking hilarious. Mean, but hilarious. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0aIQxbPmCw]

Dramatic Hamster is far superior to this...which is going to give me nightmares tonight. Those eyes...those eyes... [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkqqMPPg2VI]

Have to admit I found this squirrel running around the diamond at a Cleveland Indians baseball game pretty darn cute. It's hilarious how it scoots along the ground on its stomach with its four tiny legs splayed out. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rr6BIUjxJfw]
Verdict: Cleveland squirrels cute. New York City squirrels, bastard children of the devil.

Ron Huebel from MTV's Human Giant remarks: "these are delicious. as are most baby zoo animals." All you probably need is about 10 seconds on high in the microwave.
My roommate's pet turtle endlessly cracks me up which is pretty odd considering s/he (we aren't sure) is pretty inanimate as far as animals go, except it has this tendency at times to follow me around by frantically paddling inside his cage if I pace back and forth in the living room. I also like the way it sunbathes in the glow of the hot lamp by sticking its back feet-fins out. He looks like he's doing the Superman pose.
