Prompted by yet another rainy week and having yet another pair of white shoes ruined, I mentioned to a friend how I wished someone would invent a pair of white sneakers that would change to black when it rained outside. Well, here's an umbrella that changes color and unveils a new design in the rain. £22 here.

A "plug" for this brilliant idea.

Here's a round up of entries I've posted lately on Sundance Channel's SUNfiltered blog. I think you'll find something of interest in this pile-o-neat. And if you enjoy any of these entries, please feel free to spam your friends. They'll thank you afterwards.
Also, Diane von Furstenberg guest blogged recently on SUNfiltered with her thoughts on the new High Line park!

First, I need to address the intern's previous McDonalds entry. I told them I could only pay in PBRs. Anyway, let me class up this joint again with Ned Kahn's remarkable facade to Switzerland's Technorama (an interactive science center), which is "composed of thousands of aluminum panels that move in the air currents and reveal the complex patterns of turbulence in the wind." Check out the amazing video of this in action on a windy day: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWIhkvgg6MQ&fmt=18]

This free online service (no sign ups or registrations!) automatically tilt-shifts your photos to create that popular miniature scale model effect. Here's an example from a photo I snapped at a Knicks game this spring.

Threadless (a popular user generated online t-shirt site) and Twitter have joined forces (and API).
Connect your Twitter account to submit your own tweets or nominate others. The most voted tweets are then made into t-shirts, and the owner of the winning tweet receives as much as $500.
You may now return to your echo chamber.

These saccharine pillow cases disgust me, except for the pillow fight cases (SPARRRTAAA!!!).

Mo' cash, mo' problems like baldness. Actually this is probably what these founding cats looked like underneath their wigs.
