This coloring book got all growns up and became a sneaker freak. The Sneaker Colouring Book features 100 black-and-white line drawings of popular and iconic sneakers by Adidas, Converse, New Balance, Nike, Onitsuka Tiger, Puma, Reebok and Vans from 1916 to present.
I ordered this book as an early Christmas present to myself and I was able to buy it online from Chronicle Books with a 30% off discount plus free shipping thanks to my Google Fu (it is strong).
[vimeo=http://vimeo.com/12113198] Talented designer Erica Dorn set the bar high just that much higher for any future wifey prospects with this Nike shoe cake (I like cake).

Brand New, a blog that analyzes companies re-branding attempts, dissects the new logo for USA Ultimate, the governing body of the sport of Ultimate Frisbee (Yes, it's a sport a-holes).
The new logo is an improvement in the sense that it looks more marketable, like something you would have on a t-shirt, but ultimately the logo is quite disappointing.
The newly built (and stunning) Hotel Inntel is anchoring the revitalization efforts of the town center of Zaandam in the Netherlands.
Designer Wilfried van Winden envisioned a place in which guests could feel at home, even when away from home. Therefore, the hotel has been designed to look like stacked houses, resembling a range of residences from a notary’s manse to a worker’s cottage. In fact there are about 70 little houses in four shades of Zaanse Schans green. Particularly eye-catching is the “The Blue House,” inspired by the eponymous artwork that Claude Monet painted in Zaandam in 1871.
Not sure when I'll ever find myself in this town, but hopefully someday I can check in to this hotel for a stay.
Comic Sans is mad and isn't going to take it anymore: I'm Comic Sans, Assholes.
You don't like that your coworker used me on that note about stealing her yogurt from the break room fridge? You don't like that I'm all over your sister-in-law's blog? You don't like that I'm on the sign for that new Thai place? You think I'm pedestrian and tacky? Guess the fuck what, Picasso. We don't all have seventy-three weights of stick-up-my-ass Helvetica sitting on our seventeen-inch MacBook Pros. Sorry the entire world can't all be done in stark Eurotrash Swiss type.
Fast Company lists the 100 most creative people.
This year's 100 Most Creative People offers our own, idiosyncratic perspective on business. The selections reflect the breadth of news ideas and new pursuits at play in our business landscape. From interface designer Yugo Nakamura to HBO Documentary Films president Sheila Nevins to futurist Ray Kurzweil, we can attest that creativity is alive and well in 2010.
Interesting layout too: each person's profile also displays feeds from their various online social media accounts such as their Flickr, blog, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
A convenient solution for anyone who needs to keep their hands free while walking through a rain storm. Available at Amazon.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaQB_tgS7f0] While certainly shiny, the Ferdinand GT3 RS built by Johannes L might not only be the slowest Porsche in world, but also quite possibly the slowest "car." There is something quite hilarious seeing this familiar speedy shape going no faster than a plodding tricycle.

Utterly envious of artist Justin Kemp's sandbox titled "Surfing with the sand between my toes (after brian wilson)." I need to talk to IT about getting this set up at my work.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b60OZhrTB6o] When Moye shared this promotional video of a shovel developed by the Chinese military, my immediate thoughts were 1) this sounds like the most boring YouTube video ever; 2) Moye is where unfunny happens; 3) it's past midnight and I've seen everything else on the Internet, so I might as well watch this dumb shovel video. It turned out to be the most amazing 8 minutes, 47 seconds of my life. As one YouTube commenter said, "better than ipad!!"
I'm filing this under "WANT."
You'll never be under-dressed for a uptown dinner party with these tie napkins.
