Hopefully I'll be able to grab more photos later, but I had a fantastic 24 hours in Chicago last weekend for an old college buddy's wedding. Congratulations Mike!
This is a snapshot towards the end of the night on the dance floor of me and some of my closest friends from college. These guys had starring roles in the play, "The College Experience" that was my four years at Brown. Some appeared on stage early in the first act, such as day one of orientation week, while others arrived later, however I'm equally grateful to them all for their friendship then and now. Seeing them all together last weekend, I felt a sense of overwhelming pride and happiness for them and their tremendous level of personal and career achievement they've all attained, while still remaining true to that brotherly spirit which brought us all together on college hill. I truly feel honored and blessed to be included in their company.
I'm getting caught up on my blogging for Sundance Channel's SUNfiltered (check out some of my recent entries), but I had a fantastic extended weekend, which included:
- Steak dinner with Kaizar in San Francisco;
- Hookah and dinner with Cy;
- Liquid dinner with Mariya and couple of her friends followed by 675 Bar with Chris;
- VIP tents at Barclays golf tournament with a fun crew;
- And a Monday staycation.
I'll have some photo updates, including a trip last month to Montreal with Stan. In the meantime here's a little animated GIF I created from my Monday Funday in quaint Beacon, New York.
A coin flip apparently isn't quite as randomly unpredictable as we assumed.
1. If the coin is tossed and caught, it has about a 51% chance of landing on the same face it was launched. (If it starts out as heads, there's a 51% chance it will end as heads).2. If the coin is spun, rather than tossed, it can have a much-larger-than-50% chance of ending with the heavier side down. Spun coins can exhibit "huge bias" (some spun coins will fall tails-up 80% of the time).
I also recommend a same-sided coin to achieve the "random" result you are looking for!
This was e-mailed to me with just two words. "Being creepy." It must be opposite day.
My roommate messaged me with some buzz worthy news. I'm blown away by her new hairstyle, a mohawk. She's exercising what little remaining time of freedom she has before leaving New York City to put her roots down elsewhere to start law school, the beginning of what I'm sure will be an illustrious legal career. She'll be hair today, gone tomorrow.
I was driving and saw this guy texting; I thought, Oh look at this motherfu—, and then I hit a car.

Off to Canada. BRB.
Congratulations Kaizar and Umbreen on their engagement! I'm so happy for you two!!!
I don't think I was a Siberian tiger in my past life. That is all.
Too aggressive for me, but if you want 'em these Adidas Originals by Originals Jeremy Scott 3 Tongue Altitude kicks are scheduled to be available in August, 2009.
Here's another niche market blog. This one focusing on documenting photographs of all black wearing goths in hot weather.
Nnamdi's affection for aggressively bizarre hats is well documented here. His latest find however is one that I kind of support, because like Crocs, they are utterly functional with some splash of color. Introducing the fanny pack hat, the Cap-sac!
A visual pun of Rene Magritte's surrealist painting "Son of Man" that is sure to amuse or annoy art and mac fans. $9 here.
This reminds me of the Snow White mac I posted recently.

(Vegetarian) PB: Did I tell you I met with a nutritionist? Me: Did she tell you to eat bacon?
PB: NO, SHE DID NOT TELL ME TO EAT BACON!
Me: THEN SHE IS THE WORST NUTRIONIST EVER.
This does nothing to improve the world, but wow, what a car! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swaycL6ZLGQ&fmt=18]
