Must watch dance video (featuring some surprise cameos) poppin', lockin', and breakin' all over YouTube: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA7dEWKAT7Y]

I was super annoyed at having to pay taxes this year, but seeing this video of a puppy calmed me down with its overwhelming saccharine cuteness. This tiny Golden Retriever puppy appears to find the activity of climbing stairs too "taxing" and decides to rest its cute little head on the step. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlPb8vsvcoM]
The way the puppy nods off to sleep as it tries to fight the drowsiness reminds me of myself during PS 11 (Intro to Political Philosophy) at Brown. It was held at 6 PM in an overheated lecture room with a visiting Harvard professor who hypnotically paced from one side of the room to the other side while droning on about Locke, Rousseau and Co. The pacing, droning, and room's heat combined with the fact I would usually eat an early dinner prior to the lecture all combined to create a deadly soporific atmosphere where despite best of efforts my entire being shifted and drooped to the side: my nodding eyelids first, followed by my head, then my hand taking notes, and lastly the notes themselves.
The runaway most popular games at MySpace Games is the classic game of Pool 8 Ball. Seriously, people freakin' LOVE that game, and I do have to confess that I find it pretty terrific and addicting. Anyhoo, check out this sick trick shot:

Again, I maintain that it's activities like these that separates us from the monkeys.
This is an incredible music video. It's second to none after this one, of course. Watch the video until the very end for the M. Night Shyamalan twist! [youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=oMLCrzy9TEs]
The quality is not the greatest on a lot of them, but you can still see the mastery of each and every single goal in this video. I think the bicycle kick score is one of the most exciting goals in all of sports. Too bad a 22 minute long youtube clip now slows my computer down to a fucking crawl. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeXoxNP8_xY]
My friend Nicole sent me this and said "It should be on your blog." After viewing it, I'm not sure what she's trying to say. I think I've been insulted. But then here I am posting it on my blog. Thanks Nicole. Thanks A LOT. Slut. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIePiYEFxPY]
Update: That girl disabled embedding. What a bitch. Just click here to view it.
Don't ask me to document the process that led me to viewing this YouTube video. I'll just say that this afternoon has been a big nerdathon with a party of one. Anyway, it's pretty cool to see the choreography and shoot of the big fight scene in the Bourne Ultimatum between Jason Bourne and the "asset" Dash. But the only reason this video makes the Mrod cut is because of the last ten seconds of the segment. Who knew Jason Bourne and Ahnold Swhargshergar had something in common? [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNIMnRnJbFo]
RELATEDLY
Jason Bourne can also do a spot on impression of Matthew McConaughey:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuYD2cwMbpw]
And when he's not fighting bad guys, robbing casinos, and working for the CIA, he is fucking Sarah Silverman:

I went through a period in my life where I used to watch BET 106 and Park regularly and... I don't care who you are, but you HAD to give it up to my man Jin when on BET freestyle fridays he destroyed all those phony challengers. Seriously, watch these clips to see what's called "running the table" as he straight slays all these cats one after the other. Also, note how he wins the initially skeptical crowd over week after week--who were all too stupid to keep coming at him with the Chinaman jokes (What's wrong with ya'll? It's the 21st mofo century). Unfortunately the above videos don't capture the last few battles where he gets better and better, and by the last battle the crowd is outright mocking the pathetic roadkill challenger. Anyway, back to the point of this entry. Watch this clip of my friend's friend freestyle for like 9 minutes non-stop. It takes me 9 minutes to just write a haiku so...
This is a nicely executed music video of a remix of that classic olde tyme song "Singing in the Rain." [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDnXjx6Ht70]
First noticed by the Us Versus Them crew on the 20th floor of our building (the floor incidentally where fly models always come in and out of the elevator at...), this video from the Jerry Springer Show left me speechless. I didn't laugh at all, except for well, a couple or few times. I want to qualify this entry by saying that I don't condone this behavior or form of entertainment, but I'm merely the editor and is it really my place to stop posting things, nay censoring things just because I don't like it or wasn't amused by it? Should I be telling you what to and what not to watch? To do so would do a great disservice to the thousands of people who sacrificed and toiled to provide and uphold the very liberty and freedom we've been so fortunate, so very fortunate to enjoy in this country. To not post this would mean...yes, the terrorists have won and I nor Chuck Norris can allow that to happen.
Without further ado, little person on littler person fighting.

Munira sent me this clip of a pretty funny standup comic: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kPtJW48yMo]
Kevin sent this to me. And then I saw it on Chopstix.
And then Angry Asian Man.
It's an amazing performance on Conan O'Brian's show of this Hawaiian guy Jake Shimabukuro awesomely playing the ukelele. I was originally expecting it to be totally gimmicky, but it's really just awe-mazing. Guess I can add ukelele to my skill set along side ninja-ing, karate, and taking tests.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSCbSNsDavY] This commercial for CareerBuilder.com is great. I love the deadpan acting by the actor. And to get on my soapbox once more, I just want to say how refreshing it is to see an Asian actor playing a non-stereotypical role. Although part of the appeal and humor in the ad for me is the very fact an Asian actor is playing a non-stereotypical or racist character.
Writers, directors, casting people and everyone involved in popular media,
Please use a little bit imagination and vision to open roles for Asians that are...normal. Please? It doesn't take much, it doesn't take much.
Warm regards,

In the red corner we have "Hipster Girl" that mocks all things Hipster from Bedford to Grand, although I secretly suspect everyone in the music video lives somewhere either in Bedford or on Grand. That said, the "hipster girl" in the vid does give me that funny feeling. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTbwCsjN4Ek]
In the blue corner we have "Dim Sum Girl" by Asian hip hop trio Notorious MSG. Unfortunately the only video of this song I could find was that of these three AZN brothers out in Texas putting their own spin on this song. But you get the general idea. [youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=FaNRg3nn23U]
So you've seen both videos. Which do you prefer?
[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=c8YP5pJOdhI] You know how whenever some fem-anthem is played in a bar or club the girls go nuts. I mean they start screaming, jj's are raised in the air and and the memorized lyrics are shouted. It's adorable to see that. This song by Rihanna, "Don't stop the music" is one of those songs. Except that when bahm-bham-bham beat starts blasting through the speakers I too start freaking out--not spastically (big diff)--and attempt my best SNL Roxbury head nod. Head to the left, to the left, to the left, and...to the right, to the right, to the right. And now hump, hump, hump. Hump, hump, hump.

I see that Step Up 2 is coming out soon. I saw the first one in the theater. Voluntarily. I don't know what it is, but I freaking love movies with dance offs. Gets my feet a tappin' and my head a noddin'. Here's my top 7 dance scenes in no particular order. Coyote Ugly
I've been to the Coyote Ugly and it was just like the movie, but completely the opposite. The only similarity between the two--movie and reality--was the bouncer. Definitely no hot blonds and brunettes dumping ice water on each other. Anyway, this clip is awesome. Simply awesome. And it was even more awesome on the big movie theater screen. Wish it was IMAX tho.

The casting call for this movie went something like this: male or female, white, jump around like an idiot and call it dancing.

I hope this clip is one of the few remaining things that survives our civilization a thousand years from now. Although by then people will be able to view this on YouTube3D while skating on their hovercrafts or jetpacking to work.

I'm a big fan of the synchronized dance. Why didn't this happen more often in high school? Or college? Or now? Come on, people. Practice next Wednesday at 7 pm. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers.

I'm just happy to sink my opponent's aircraft carrier in Battleship. Actually, the damn minesweeper is the toughest to find in that vast ocean. The aircraft carrier is a breeze. Like hitting the side of a bar.
