Liz Taylor

I know this might sound a bit mad, batty even, but the rumors are true: I am crazy about stunning brunettes who like dogs. For those outrageous reasons this is my favorite photo of Elizabeth Taylor and also the most attractive I've ever seen of her. RIP.

Scott Campbell

Having seen more than my share of Scott Campbell's dollar bill art they are just as impressive in person if not more than as they appear in photos. This New York based artist is having his first solo West Coast show at OHWOW gallery in LA.

One piece uses $11,ooo worth of currency sheets to create an over two-foot cube, into which a three dimensional skull is carved-out. These works employ the familiar blue-collar vernacular of tattoo flash-boards – a skull smoking a cigarette, a skeleton’s hand in a provocative gesture, a single eye emitting a penetrating ray – and highlight the irony that exists within that imagery.

Alexandre Arrechea

Alexandre Arrechea's 20-foot steel "Orange Tree" is currently installed at Bronx Museum.

Orange Tree shifts familiar structures to engage viewers' perceptions of form and function, while raising questions about the role of street sports in urban culture.

Alternative title for piece: Dunking for All Abilities.

Outlook OK

A bit of old school awesome from the Washington Post. I used to love these in MAD magazine. Does this humor magazine even exist anymore? Or are they now exclusively just on Tumblr?

Most Amazing Photo Ever

No, this isn't a still from some bad action film. Here, I'll let National Geographic explain what's going on in this photo from their June 1976 issue:

Buffeted by crosswinds, a rescue plane crashes into a truck, while trying to land on a mountain highway near Sanarate. Miraculously no one suffered serious injury.

+10 to that guy doing the Mario jump.
