History of R&B

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIcPCr1y18U] One of my favorite YouTube comics (who has a mean voice) David So and Paul Kim, another popular singer on YouTube takes the viewer on a journey of R&B music in this collaboration along with a jaw dropping surprise guest appearance around the 2:52 mark. After you watch this you will want to go to karaoke stat.

Kim Dotcom

null Despite the serious legal implications for content sharing, the best thing so far to emerge from the Megaupload shutdown has been Kim Dotcom (Yes, the website's owner changed his surname from Schmitz to DOTCOM) and the photo above that best illustrates his Hype Williams rap video lifestyle: "He surrounded himself with glamorous women and fast cars bearing number plates such as “GUILTY”. He likened himself to Dr Evil, a movie villain, though he looks more like Dr Evil’s henchman, Fat Bastard."

I Heart Tofu

Two vegan drivers (in Colorado and Tennessee) have had the above vanity plate expressing their love of tofu rejected by state officials.

As a tofu lover myself I'm outraged.

Cooler Than You

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kSsYwd5REEI#t=32s] Music video for The Bullitts' "Supercool" starring a bewitching Rosario Dawson dancing on a London street corner. She is cooler than you.

Head Gear

I could actually get behind this look for three reasons:

  1. Protecting the skull situation is always important.
  2. Fresh own oxygen supply in an urban environment, such as NYC is healthier.
  3. Top Gun pilots always look bad ass.

Science Confirms You Can Die of a Broken Heart

A new study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association states that there is evidence for the so-called "broken-heart syndrome" which suggests that the pain of losing a close loved one is so heartbreaking, literally, that it can trigger a heart attack (Wasn't this the ending of The Notebook or Predator or something?). The study found that...

...a person’s heart attack risk is 21 times higher than normal the day after a loved one dies. Over time the risk of an attack declines, but it remains elevated within that first month. In the first week after a loved one’s death, for example, the risk was six times higher than normal.

"And kids, that's why you should always keep your heart cold as ice...so you don't DIE." - Bitter Ted Mosby
