Samurai is an epic Japanese period film about a modern day Ground Self-Defense Force that gets accidentally sent back in time to feudal Japan. You know what that means doncha? Ninjas, samurais, tanks, helicopters and machine guns.
The plot reminds me of one of my favorite movies form my childhood, Final Countdown which is about a modern day American aircraft carrier that is also sent back in time--to a few days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
