The thing that struck me most vicious and "out of bounds" about Sarah Palin's blitz attack tonight was her and the audience's visceral derisiveness that "dripped contempt" for Obama's experience as a community organizer in the...South Side of Chicago. When did the job of community organizer in a rough district become a bad thing? I Her attack is all the more galling coming from someone whose own qualifications are highly suspect and moreover who hasn't faced a single vote on a national level. Nonetheless she relates herself to a pit bull (over compensation much?), and attacks a man who on his own received the support of MILLIONS of Americans who voted, chose him, and said "Yes, Barack Obama can lead our country."
Gov. Palin: Bravo, tonight was your night and you demonstrated your ability to read a rehearsed ghost written speech in front of an adoring predominantly white and very conservative choir. However I can't help but recall the ol' adage that my Dad used to say to me while I grew up in Alaska: "Don't let your mouth write checks that your ass can't cash." Well, tonight your mouth wrote a very HUGE check. You're about to discover what community organizers can do.
