In case you are confused as to why the image above is funny, here's the significance: Although both organizations had shared the initials WWF since 1979, the World Wildlife Fund (now the World Wide Fund for Nature) sued the World Wrestling Federation in 2000 claiming the wrestling company "had violated a 1994 agreement regarding international use of the WWF initials." In 2002, the World Wrestling Federation became World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
