My roommate walked in last night with a huge yellow box labeled "Stimulus Packaged" and announced that it was addressed to me. I was both surprised and a little fearful-as stupid as it sound but the Unabomber definitely came to mind-since I had not ordered anything lately.
As Sarah looked over my shoulder, I opened the box slowly. I found it filled with golden yellow streamers. At this point I may have quoted the "fragile...it must be French" line from The Christmas Story.
Instead of a female leg-shaped lamp, I found a dozen boxes of Golden Graham cereal boxes.
I apparently won these as part of a "Golden Grahams Golden Grant" promotion run by General Mills. I don't recall entering the contest, but I probably will enter marketing contests and giveaways more frequently now! This is the second best grant after the MacArthur Genius Grant!
