JOHN MAYER VS. DEREK JETER

His name isn't mentioned too often in (admittedly asinine) discussions of celebrity Don Juans, however I've maintained that John Mayer's consistent ability to snag quality arm candy gives him some sort of an underdog status.   When news that he's dating [insert name] hits the wires, everyone reacts with surprise but people shouldn't be surprised: he has quite a track record and history of attracting some premium sorts. Amusing to see ESPN pick up on this story and dare to compare John Mayer with the Lothario of all Lotharios, the Sultan of Twat himself Derek Jeter.  Of course, even more amusing is the predictable backlash from the readers.

JOHN MAYER'S MUSIC MAKING PROCESS

John Mayer takes us behind the scene of his music makin' empire and reveals his inner jackass'ness in this video, which is a lot more appealing than the overly sincere guy crooning about how all relationships are safe 'til St. Patrick's Day because no way in November will you say goodbye, and in December it's obvious why--no one wants to be alone at Christmas time. And come January we're frozen inside and making new resolution a hundred times. Then in February, you're askin' "won't you be my Valentine?" But after St. Patty's Day, all bets are off--unless you're John Mayer and which in that case you're fucking supermodels and cruising around on a Razor scooter.

If I can't get the girl why don't I just tell her I'm John Mayer. How about something everybody can relate to, like when you're fucking one supermodel you make the other ones jealous?

THE BEST JOB IN THE ENTIRE WORLD

What's better than being John Mayer or Kanye West? How about the guy who gets to oil supermodel Gisele Bundchen's ass while she's wearing ass-less daisy duke shorts (Whoever thought of that should receive a MacArthur genius grant)? I think that's a pretty sweet gig.

EASY LISTENING SUNDAY

Apropos of nothing or everything, the Easy Listening Sunday segment is back from its unexplained hiatus this week. For such a seemingly innocuous singer, people have a really divisive reaction towards him.  I'm a fan personally.  I used to rally on the other side of the fence, but due to the influence and persuasion of my roommate Chris, who listens to John Mayer a lot in his room, I would most likely, possibly would in fact go see John Mayer in concert, especially if he performs his song "Gravity."
