I forgot which TA pointed this out to me back in the college days, but can you spot the beer brand product placement in Manet's Bar at the Folies-Bergère? If you said "Bass Beer," pat yourself on the back and pour yourself a cold one. Picasso also incorporate the brand's symbol frequently in his pieces.

Previously mentioned last year, I checked back in with the Decapitator to see if he was still going around chopping off heads of people on advertising posters. Yup, he's still decapitating away.
Here's another flash mob synchronized dancing, this time at a mall in the Philippines. This is a viral on behalf of a Filipino fast food chain Jollibee. I wish advertising consisted of nothing but flash mobs synchronized dancing in public spaces, and of course, the most interesting man. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-BJSLzAiRo&fmt=18]
I can't find much background on this amazing critical mash up of Shepard Fairey's OBEY Giant.
Check out these delicious advertisements created by Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific Singapore for Ben & Jerry's ice cream.
A med rec advertisement from Pringles that is so entertaining that you won't be able to stop clicking on it--just like those Orbitz mini-game pop up ads.
Nick: You remember that cloud Orbitz game we used to play at S&W? If you don't remember, you know what? Don't even worry about it.

Can you name all the song titles used in this viral Nokia video? [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JJg0TWAvZU&fmt=18]
This video of bikini wearing models riding a roller coaster for a promo collaboration between Alton Towers Resort and delicates brand, Ultimo is for my good buddy and long time reader Nick. He just got over a cold in the middle of his bar exam studies. Hope this video cheers you up, bud! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX6QBOcSur0&fmt=18]
New ad for Disneyland Paris that is sure to fighten the current Parisian youth for years to come. As Copyranter writes:
It's an "incite" for children to scream and piss themselves while stampede the Hell out of the park. What next? WALL-E rubbing one out?

Try to figure out the trick in this alternadvertising video for a Samsung phone with a built in "HD" video camera. It gets good around the 0:50 mark. It does look really great in HD. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX8iVo5vc8o&fmt=18]
Update: Here's the solution to how they created this tricky video.

Interesting ads for Colgate Max Fresh with a whole lot of copy.
The Evening Standard's relaunch awareness campaign apologizes to readers for their previous incarnation's reportage.
Don't surf these not-quite-safe-for-work print ads for a surfing company while at work. It's mild stuff, but don't let them get you with this at the least. If you are going to look then at least have an excel page ready to switch over to just in case. View after the jump.

T-Mobile organized this mass karaoke session in London's Trafalgar Square on April 30 where over 13,500 people sang in unison "Hey Jude." [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orukqxeWmM0&fmt=18]
With the iPhone exclusive and their recent run of cool marketing videos, is the T-Mobile brand suddenly cool?
Acne created this eye catching bus constructed from 50 cars for Flygbussarna Airport Coaches.
Every day thousands of cars drive to and from the airport releasing tons of unnecessary carbon dioxide. If everyone parked their car and travelled collectively, the environment would be much better off. Because the average car in Sweden has 1,2 passengers. A coach can take over 50.

Creative commercials (each illustrated by different artists) for Scrabble from Ogilvy & Mather Paris. The "Sumo" one below is my favorite. View more here. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kr0QEwfZBk&fmt=18]
Some further explanation behind the seemingly disassociative commercials:
The principle of the campaign: Different words accidentally encounter during a Scrabble game, giving by chance birth to a world as unexpected as enchanting. Picture a board of Scrabble at the end of a game: words that have nothing to do with each other are crossing and overlapping, to the point that they sometimes tell a crazy story ! Our creative idea is to turn this fabulous potential into images.
Yo, yo, yo! This soundboard lets you "talk like Stefan." No doubt it's a viral something.
